Local playwright, poet and musician whom I first worked with at Castle Vale radioin 2000, the editor of MultiCutural magazine also published extracts of my book, Faerie Dust, were published. He was actually my mentor when writing this book.

We shot Angel at Easter and the film is now completed and under distribution . It's been brilliant making it I have to say, and great fun when trying to do some of the location scenes in pubs, or parks or the street... even a taxi.

Check back with the site or sign up, as I will be publishing clips and updates.

This video clip is actually a music video using some of the footage from the film.

Louise writes and performs her work and runs drama and creative workshops for both children and adults. She is co-director of Black Country based Fizzog Theatre Company.

As a freelance artist, most of her work is issue-based and awareness raising, using both humour and serious social comment through the mediums of literature and drama to try and challenge perceptions which are discriminatory, prejudiced, ignorant, or just plain unhelpful.

Her previous background has given her the opportunity to use her drama and writing training and skills to work creatively with people experiencing mental health issues, as well as with a variety of other people.

As a member of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers Louise is a practicing Spiritual Healer, and has completed her second Degree Reiki Healer training. She believes that Faeries, Angels and all of her Guardians have guided her through the dark tunnels of life and led her out into the Light of a better world.

She currently lives in Handsworth Wood, with her husband Robin, four sons, and four crazy cats

Faerie joy

The most important part of the Faerie Day

Includes laughter, party, fun and play

Dwelling on tears and dark dismay

Is really not in the spirit of Fey

Quick and nimble, bursts of Light

Shining in the day, glowing in the night

Elf or Gnome, Faerie or Sprite

Life is one round of sheer delight

If you glimpse them, hold this thought...

You have been honoured by the sight you sought

Since a Faerie sighting can never be bought

Nor can a Faerie ever be caught

But seeing them will set you free

And freedom gives you the sight to see

That you can be who you want to be

I know this is true...it happened to me!

A journey through bullying using poetry as the guide.

MAROONED charts a course through that process of bullying. It isn’t about the bullies as such. While it is important that the existence of bullies in our public services is broadcast, MAROONED is above all the compelling story of one woman’s survival.

American psychologist Martha Stout, author of The Sociopath Next Door has written, “living well is the best form of revenge.” Bullies do not like people who are truly alive and beyond their power. In writing MAROONED, Louise Stokes has shown them that she is now living well.

SYNOPSIS

The reader is invited to accompany 'Sally' on a journey through the physical, spiritual and ethereal experiences of her life, as she leaves behind the familiar and embarks upon a quest to find out who she really is and what meaning her existence has.

Through letters to her family, her journal entries and her poems, the reader learns about Sally's hopes, dreams, fears, failures and achievements, as she travels from her conventional beginnings to her unexpected destination. As we learn about Sally's relationships with beings from other dimensions, (Faeries, spirit guides etc),as well as those of the physical world, and how her past affects them, we are invited to question for ourselves whether we are witnessing Sally's 'crazy' world as she heads for a breakdown, or a spiritual experience in which she truly believes.

This novel is aimed at exploring the idea of questioning ourselves in terms of illusion and delusion. Are dreams any less real than waking experiences; Are disembodied (or indeed 'embodied') voices which give reassurances, comfort, hope and unconditional love any more imaginary than a telephone conversation? Is a vision less real than physical people, especially if those voices and visions comfort and guide us, whilst their material counterparts criticise us and make us unhappy?

The end of Sally's journey (or Lilac Rainbow, as she has now become), whilst unexpected ,is a destination which we all at some point must contemplate….this story relates this particular woman's contemplations and some of her resulting conclusions.

Both Reiki and the National Federation of Spiritual Healing(NFSH) are forms of Natural Healing. They are Natural therapies whereby healing energy is channelled by the healer through to the healee.

Everyone is made of energy and when that energy is unbalanced in some way, it can result in illness or stress. The healer, calling in the energy from its 'source' simply channels it through and each individual's own inner wisdom then ensures the energy is sent where it is most needed.

Since the energy knows where it needs to go, the healer does not need to know what may be troubling a healee, although if it helps to talk, then the healer is there to listen.

I work as a volunteer for the NFSH at Rushall Community Centre, which is free of charge, but welcomes donations to help cover overheads..for details access or call Sandy Edwards on 01922 627346

I also offer private healing sessions, either NFSH, or Reiki, and again, I do not charge for this service, instead I suggest that healees may like to give a donation to something or somewhere that is meaningful to them, only if they wish to of course!

Lilac Rainbow faerie oracle...

The Lilac Rainbow concept began in the Faerie Dust Letters (see above and to the right a bit), which are being transformed into a novel.

The Lilac Rainbow Oracle is a deck of faery oracle cards for divination that have been created from watercolour paintings that I have done over a period of 2 years.

To see the cards visit the

The site is currently in development, but the pictures are there to see.

I am working on the project with

Together we are ascertaining the meanings within the cards and writing readings and poetry to depict them.

As with 'Faerie Dust', the oracle cards deal with understanding the relationship between the psychological and spiritual sides of life, which can become confusing and cause much suffering. We all deal with this side of our Self at some point and tools like symbolism can bring understanding and guidance.

Fizzog is a community theatre company specialising in Theatre-In-Education, Theatre-In-Health and issue-based projects within non-theatre settings. We work with a comprehensive cross-section of the community from pre-school to senior citizenship on an intercultural basis, using performance and workshop techniques to explore, raise awareness and tackle issues in an entertaining, non-threatening and informative way.

All of our projects are originally commissioned by professional bodies who we work closely with to develop informed and thought provoking performance based projects on a diversity of issues. Our current range of projects cover the following range of issues:
